EXPO 2020 Dubai is held under the theme of “Connecting Minds, Creating the Future”, echoing the powerful spirit of partnership and cooperation that has driven the UAE’s success in pioneering new paths of development and innovation. Through this theme, EXPO 2020 Dubai will serve as a catalyst, connecting minds from around the world and inspiring participants to mobilise around shared challenges under the sub-themes of: Mobility, Opportunity & Sustainability from 1 October 2021 to 31 March 2022.
Malaysia Pavilion’s theme “Energising Sustainability” captures the nation’s commitment and direction for sustainable development which balances socio-economic progress and environmental concerns. In energising sustainability, the three pillars of social, economic and environmental set the direction for progress. Today, Malaysia has adopted a resilient, low-carbon, resource-efficient and socially inclusive framework to address climate change, sustainability and the environment.
The Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation Malaysia (MOSTI) is the lead Ministry for Malaysia’s participation at Expo 2020 together with Malaysian Green Technology & Climate Change Centre (MGTC) as the implementing agency. 22 Government ministries, five state governments and 40 agencies are involved at the Expo, across 26 weeks of themed business-focused programmes to bring significant trade and partnerships in sustainability and shared prosperity.
